Leigh Steinberg, during the last four decades, has been dedicated to his craft and has come to call some of the most elite athletes of this generation his clients as well as his friends. His esteemed client list has included hundreds of premier professional athletes in football, baseball, basketball, golf, boxing, volleyball, and Olympic sports. Leigh’s client roster has included Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Warren Moon, Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, Kordell Stewart, Jeff George, Ben Roethlisberger, Myron Rolle, Matt Leinart, Mark Brunell, Ricky Williams, Howie Long, Eric Karros, Dusty Baker, Lennox Lewis, Oscar de la Hoya and John Starks.
Steinberg was admitted to the California State Bar in 1974 after earning his Juris Doctor from Boalt Hall, UC Berkeley’s law school, in 1973. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science also from UC Berkeley in 1970. Steinberg has pioneered the convergence of the sports and entertainment industries. Leigh is credited as the real life inspiration of the sports agent from the film “Jerry Maguire.” His wealth of resources and experiences ensure he is frequently sought out to act as a consultant on a variety of entertainment projects, most notably “For Love of the Game,” “Any Given Sunday” as well as the TV series “Arliss.”
